Little decorative tray

Here the latest little thing I made.
It’s a small tray made from leftover scraps that I couldn’t have used for anything else but this kind of project.
The base was so “damaged” and “ugly” that I got the idea to cover it with pieces of paper cut out from a Japanese book I found at a second-hand bookstore (inspired by the papers people used to line the drawers of old furniture).
The fact that they’re poorly glued is almost intentional—let’s just say it fits with the overall wabi-sabi aesthetic.
